SUPPORT FOR YOUNG ARTISTS
+ Studio space
+ Residencies
+ Curatorial support
+ Rum
The world and art today run as a system.
Avast! We sail our ship on these seas of our art world. We seek not to make profit in the markets, but to find glory and beauty in freedom on the seas.
This is the last ship for free artists. Outside the kingdoms and the markets that we are all part of. Weighing anchor just off the ocean in Bandra.
To seek adventure. And to find fortune.
On a deck where time has stopped and mermaids still sing and stars still shine.

I come to Last Ship from Boston, MA, where I make documentaries and work for the LEF Foundation, an organization that funds independent filmmaking in New England. I make movies by trying to stand back and observe, entering into a learning process by filming. I look for subjects that hold promising visual opportunities and a chance to meet new and surprising people. I graduated from Boston University and I’ve worked for Documentary Educational Resources, a distributor of anthropological and ethnographic films.
